The purpose of residential zone parking is to ensure the best possible accessibility to public parking spaces within a defined area. Most residents will find that residential zone parking means more orderly parking and a more pleasant living environment. The scheme gives residents special advantages regarding parking on residential streets.

A residential zone agreement is a voluntary scheme where you can buy access to park on a public road within your residential zone. The scheme has been politically adopted, and you can read the regulations in the legal data . The agreement gives you the opportunity to park in the zone, but it does not give you the right to a permanent parking space.

The agreement must be paid for in advance, and it is your responsibility as the holder to ensure that you have a valid agreement before parking your vehicle in the zone.

A residential zoning agreement does not repeal traffic rules or other parking regulations in the area, for example in paid spaces, on street parking lots or where there is a stopping or parking ban.

If the car is separated, the residential zone agreement is not valid.

Requirements for applicants

You must be registered at an address in the zone. The home must have been built before 1965.

• If you are a student and registered in your home municipality, you can purchase a residential zone agreement if you present your rental contract and student ID.
• If you are a commuter, you can purchase a residential zone agreement if you present a rental contract and confirmation from your employer.

Vehicle requirements

You must be the owner or co-owner of the vehicle for which you wish to apply for a residential zone agreement.

• Exception for private individuals who can document that they rent or lease a car from an authorized company.
• Exceptions for private individuals who can document that they use a company car privately.
• Exception for private individuals who can document that they have full control of vehicles owned by another private individual.

You can apply for a residential zone agreement all year round. Log in to the customer portal via the ID portal to apply.

You must have your car's registration number ready when you apply.

• When you apply for a residential zone agreement, today's date will automatically be added to the application. If you wish to start the residential zone agreement in the future, this must be done when you pay for the agreement.
• If you have a company car, you must attach a signed confirmation from your employer. The confirmation must include the vehicle's registration number. If the company leases the car, we need a copy of the leasing agreement.
• If you have leased a car, you must attach a signed leasing contract with the name of the lessee and the vehicle registration number.
• If you wish to apply for a residential zone agreement for a vehicle owned by another private individual, you must attach an agreement stating that the vehicle is fully at your disposal for the entire duration of the permit.
• If you have a foreign registered car, you must attach a copy of the complete vehicle registration document.
• If you have a personal license plate, you must use what is written on the license plate when applying.

• The housing zone agreement is not valid until it has been paid. Payment is made in the customer portal after the application has been approved, and no invoice is sent .
• You will receive notifications in the customer portal and at your registered email address. The notifications will come from the address noreply@flowbird.com. You can also check the box to receive notifications via SMS in your customer profile.
• You must register a payment card in your customer profile. To make the first payment, this must be done manually by selecting the monthly car package 1 or monthly car packages 2 and 3. Once the first payment has been made, the next period will be automatically deducted from the registered payment card. It is possible to pay with Vipps, but then the payment must be made manually for each period of 30 days.
• You will be notified of a deduction 4 days before the payment is due or if the payment fails.

If you are registered in a residential zone in a building built before 1965, and are registered as the owner or co-owner of the vehicle you are applying for, your application will be automatically approved. The residential zone agreement will be active once it has been paid for.

Other applications are processed on an ongoing basis. The standard processing time is up to 7 days. Please note that during this period you do not have an active residential zone agreement, and you must ensure that you park legally until you have confirmed an active agreement and have paid for it.

Once the residential zone agreement has been paid, you can park in the zone. Please note that a residential zone agreement does not entitle you to a reserved space. You are responsible for supervising when your vehicle is parked along a public road, and must therefore check for new signs once a day.

The residential zone agreement is only valid once it has been paid for. There are three ways to confirm that your residential zone agreement is valid:

1. Check that you have received payment confirmation by email and as a notification in the customer portal.
2. Your permits are located under the "Permits" tab when you log in to the customer portal . Here you can access the permit and find a receipt for your payment.
3. Check that the amount has actually been deducted from the card you paid with.

You can still apply for a residential zone agreement, but you must upload a copy of your valid student ID and a receipt for paid semester fees. You must also upload a signed, complete copy of your rental agreement or purchase contract for a home in the residential zone.

You can still apply for a residential zone agreement, but you must upload confirmation from your employer that you are a commuter. The confirmation must be dated and no older than four weeks and contain information about how long the employment relationship lasts. You must also attach a signed, complete copy of your rental agreement, or purchase agreement for a home in the residential zone.

Businesses can obtain a residential zoning agreement if they have a documented need. The applicant must justify and document that the vehicle is necessary for the daily operation of the company.

Residential zone agreements can be purchased in all residential zones, except for zones 01, 15 and the ABC quarter in zone 08 .

To obtain an agreement, the business must:

• be registered in the Brønnøysund registers

• have an address within the zone being applied for.

Visitors are directed to signposted toll plazas.

Visitors can also purchase day passes in the EasyPark application with tariff group 5736. Day passes are not valid in zone 01, zone 08, or where there are signs with street parking or route restrictions. Day passes cannot be used as a means of payment at signposted toll plazas.

The day pass is valid until 23:59 on the same date it is purchased.
