About us

Stavanger Parking focuses on proximity to users and has our office at St. Olavs gate 11, close to the city center. Here you can come to our customer center for guidance, information, purchase of parking cards and residential zone cards. Here you can also get information regarding renting parking spaces.

Stavanger Parkeringsselskap KF has a two-fold task:

We are responsible for the operation of parking spaces, both owned and private. We have a separate department that manages the rental of parking spaces and follows this up.

We enforce the regulations for parking in Stavanger municipality. Traffic safety, accessibility, the environment and business development are prominent areas of interest for the municipality. Our goal is to ensure that this is taken care of.

Proximity, safety and accessibility

Goals:

Reduce parking-related traffic accidents.

Maintain good accessibility on the road network for all road users.

Maintain good car accessibility to the city's functions, especially aimed at people with reduced mobility, commerce, service functions and goods transport.

Maintain and improve the environment for those who live and spend time along the road/street network.

Tools:

Enforce stopping and parking prohibitions given in the traffic rules and by signs. Particular emphasis is placed on no stopping in connection with sidewalks, pedestrian crossings and intersections.

Enforce parking rules and parking regulation signs. Particular emphasis is placed on preventing parking in public transport lanes, bus lanes, pedestrian zones and pedestrian/cycle paths.

Operate efficient short-term parking in the city center, providing good circulation and accessibility for as many users as possible.

Enforce misuse of spaces reserved for people with reduced mobility and goods delivery.

Manage parking regulations in residential areas in such a way that the goal of a good living environment can be realized.

Work for clearer signage and better information for road users. Technical equipment and payment systems must be public-friendly and easy to use. Guidance and service must be easily accessible to the user.

Control center and security

We monitor our parking meters and car parks. We will help you if you have problems entering or exiting and at the machines. You can reach the monitoring center on telephone number: 51 50 73 95 / 900 99 080.

Stavanger Parkering also has an agreement with Securitas AS for security services. They regularly patrol our parking garages to ensure safety and order.
