Stavanger has a narrow city center and parking spaces that are mainly adapted for passenger cars. For reasons of accessibility and traffic safety, it is therefore not recommended to park campers in the city center. Campers are instead referred to adapted camper parking areas outside the city center.
Stavanger has a campervan parking lot close to the city center in Sandvigå with space for 6 campervans. From here it is walking distance to the city center.
Active efforts are being made to establish more options for RV parking in the areas around the city center.
